Namhangang Minmul Maeuntang is a restaurant in Hwayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, that boils maeuntang (spicy fish stew) with catfish and crab. The catfish and crab maeuntang comes with plenty of sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), and side dishes such as kimchi jeon and dongchimi are served alongside. At 6:30 p.m. on Friday only one table was left, then the restaurant filled up and a wait followed, and food took about 20 minutes after ordering. At lunchtime eating alone is difficult, and boiling the stew for a long time makes the broth salty.
