Hoshiai Pond

Seonghapji is a pond site inside the grounds of Osaka Tenmangu, with a bridge and a small shrine. Visitors throw wish beads from Tenmangu at a plum-shaped target on the pond to read their fortune. The pond is over a thousand years old, and in plum season red and white plum blossoms bloom while turtles and carp can be seen. The pond water is somewhat murky.
