Osaka Tenmangu Shrine

Osaka Tenmangu is a shrine dedicated to the deity of learning, located near Osakatenmangu Station and Tenjinbashisuji shopping street. It offers many charms and ema plaques for praying for success on exams, and plum blossoms begin to bloom from late February. The grounds can be toured in about 30 minutes, and a small exhibition hall covering the life of Sugawara no Michizane provides Korean-language explanatory materials. Due to exterior construction, some parts of the shrine are currently difficult to see.
