Matsunoya

Matsunoya is a student cafeteria in front of Doshisha University in Kyoto that serves katsudon, udon, and set meals. Its signature katsudon tops a crisp tonkatsu with egg and broth over a generous portion of rice. The shop has about seven tables for four, water is self-service, and seats are shared when it gets crowded. There is no English menu, so orders must be placed in Japanese.
