Chikuyuan Taro no Atsumori

Chikuyuan Daroatsumori is a soba restaurant in Kyoto, a two-minute walk from Exit 2 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma subway line, south of Kyoto Gyoen. Its signature dish, atsumori soba, is noodles dipped in hot tsuyu mixed with Kujo negi and raw egg. Soba can take more than 30 minutes to arrive after ordering, and the owner explains how to eat it. The stairs up to the second floor are steep.
