Old Russian Legation

The Old Russian Legation is a modern and contemporary history site on the hill of Jeongdong Park, near City Hall Station and the Deoksugung Stone Wall Path. It is the Russian legation where King Gojong stayed during his flight to the Russian legation after the Eulmi Incident, and it can be reached on foot from the Deoksugung back gate along the "Gojong's Road." Today only the spire and part of one two-story building remain out of the entire structure. Repair work has been extended several times, so there are times when viewing is not possible.
