Yakhyeon Catholic Church in Jungnim-dong, Seoul, sits on a small hill near the Seosomun martyrdom site. Completed in 1892, it is Korea's first Western-style church, marked by red brick, pointed spires, and round stained glass. Photos inside the church can be taken only with a smartphone, and it is a designated pilgrimage site of the Seoul Archdiocese. The steep uphill path is a burden for visitors.
