Hamnyeongjeon is the emperor's sleeping quarters in Deoksugung, near Daehanmun, where Gojong resided. It was built in 1897 and rebuilt in December 1904 after a fire, and its name means "all are at peace." The interior is open to visitors, who can see the throne on the central wooden floor and the Irworobongdo behind it. Gojong stayed here until his death in 1919, and the hall is designated Treasure No. 820.
