Cheonggyecheon Berlin Plaza is a memorial park beside Cheonggyecheon that displays a section of the Berlin Wall and a German streetlamp. On the west German side of the wall, messages from citizens wishing for peace remain, and next to the bear statue symbolizing Berlin there is a drawing of Sungnyemun. The wall was moved from Marzahn Recreation Park after it was torn down with German reunification in 1989, and a German streetlamp over 100 years old can be seen alongside it. By the scale of a plaza, it is modest.
