Banmin Teukwi Site

Banmin Teukwi Teo is a historic site in Jung-gu, Seoul. It is the location of the Special Committee for the Investigation of Anti-National Activities, which was at the center of the post-liberation effort to purge pro-Japanese collaborators. The site remains as the place where President Syngman Rhee dissolved the committee in 1949. A marker stone at the site identifies it as Banmin Teukwi Teo.
