Myeongnyun Son Kalguksu is an old restaurant in the Daehak-ro alleys of Hyehwa-dong, Seoul, serving kalguksu, seolleongtang and suyuk. The kalguksu uses hand-made noodles boiled in a rich sagol broth, and the suyuk is boiled until tender. It is open only from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and closes earlier when ingredients run out. About two cars can park in front of the shop, and because it runs for just two hours at weekday lunch, arriving late means waiting.
