Banggut is a small bakery in the residential area of Gunam-dong in Jeju that sells bread such as salt bread, jambon beurre, and basil crunch for takeout. The signature salt bread has a strong buttery and salty flavor, and the apple jambon beurre and nut bread are also popular. It opens at 10:30 a.m., and a line forms before opening, with only one or two groups entering the store at a time to buy takeout. The store is small so there can be a wait, and the bread can dry out inside by the next day.
