Hoshiai is an izakaya in Jamsil that specializes in aged hoe, raw fish. The modum sashimi comes with thick slices of flounder, sea bream, and tuna, along with seafood such as silkworm sea squirt and odori. It opened in May 2013 on the former site of Thunder Chicken and has operated for 11 years, directly in front of Jamjeon Elementary School. The omakase serves several anju and finishes with maeuntang, and the tables are small, so sitting comfortably is difficult.
