Gani Hoetjip is a small old restaurant in an alley near Jamsil Saenae Station, selling hoe such as flounder and rockfish, along with grilled cuttlefish and grilled scallops. The house style is to lay crunchy mu-chae under the hoe and eat it wrapped in a perilla leaf. It opens at 6 p.m., and maeuntang, kimchi jeon, juk and eomuk-tang come out as basic dishes, while cabbage and ssamjang are served with the hoe. Because the dining room is small, there may be no seats if you go without a reservation.
