Itsukushima Jinja

Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima in Hiroshima is where you see the torii and the red shrine buildings over the water. At high tide the torii stands in the water, and at low tide you can walk out to it. From JR Miyajimaguchi Station the ferry takes about 10 minutes, and around 4:30 p.m. the crowds thin out. At 8:30 in the morning a long line forms for photos.
