Hakata Station sits close to Fukuoka Airport and brings together shinkansen, JR, and subway lines with shopping and dining in one complex. An underground restaurant floor connects to Amu Plaza, Kitte, Daiso, and Uniqlo, so meals and shopping can be handled in a single stop. Even in the station's large layout, following the overhead signs leads to the exits. The exit maps are not oriented by east, west, north, and south, which makes them hard to use alongside a phone map.
