Komeda Coffee Hakata Station Higashi is a kissaten-style coffee shop serving coffee, morning sets, toast and sandwiches, a five- to six-minute walk from Hakata Station. It opens at 7 a.m., and until 11 a.m. the morning set lets you pick toast or a boiled egg with red bean paste, strawberry jam or butter alongside a drink. Orders are placed in Korean on a table tablet, and the katsu sando arrives the size of a brick. On weekends and at lunchtime there is a wait.
