Binhaewon is an old Chinese restaurant on Gunsan's Jjamppong Street, serving jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk. Its muljjajang uses a starch sauce thicker than that of ulmyeon and is mixed with the noodles, while the jjamppong comes in a non-spicy, old-style broth. The building, constructed during the Japanese colonial period, has been designated a registered cultural heritage site and has appeared as a film location. The tangsuyuk is either soggy or hard, and staff responses tend to be brusque.
