Tenpura Kondo is a counter-style restaurant on the ninth floor within walking distance of Ginza Station, serving tempura of seasonal vegetables, shrimp, and fish. The batter thickness varies by ingredient and two oil pots are used alternately to bring out the sweetness of vegetables such as asparagus and lotus root. Each piece is fried to order at the all-counter seating, and the signature sweet potato tempura must be ordered in advance, arriving as a large piece to share. Reservations are required because seats are hard to get.
