The fox statue at the entrance of Fushimi Inari Taisha is a stone figure on the right side of the first torii near JR Inari Station. It holds a golden rice ear in its mouth, symbolizing Inari Okami, the god of grain, and prosperity. Fushimi Inari Shrine is open 24 hours, so visitors can go early in the morning, and the statue is carved in detail, allowing close inspection of its texture. The entrance draws large crowds, so other visitors often appear in photos.
