The Kyushu National Museum displays artifacts of cultural exchange between Kyushu and Asia, and sits next to Dazaifu Tenmangu. Its exhibits cover artifacts from the Japanese Paleolithic period through Goryeo and Joseon, along with materials on exchanges with Korea, China, India and other parts of Asia. Visitors enter from Dazaifu Tenmangu through a connecting passage and a long escalator, and a full viewing takes at least two hours. Admission is expensive.
