Kokura Castle sits close to central Kitakyushu and retains its stone walls and moat. A cafe on the fifth floor of the castle keep serves coffee with views of the surrounding area. A garden and park are laid out beside the castle, so the grounds inside and outside can be seen together. Korean-language guidance is scarce, which makes the precise history difficult to follow.
