Hakata Bus Terminal sits directly next to Hakata Station and is where buses leave Fukuoka for the city, the airport, and other regions. The direct airport bus departs from platform 11 on the first floor, while the Dazaifu bus also boards on the first floor and reserved buses to Hita, Beppu, and Yufuin require going up to platform 34 on the third floor. Sankyu Passes and bus tickets are issued at the third-floor ticketing counter, which also has automatic ticket machines with large numbers on the platforms, electronic displays, and translation devices. The terminal is crowded with many users, and the airport bus runs slowly and takes a long time.
