Sorei Shrine sits at the western edge of Susukino in Sapporo, within a five-minute walk of Jisan Kancho Elementary School-mae Station and Higashi Honganji Station. It was founded in Meiji 4 to promote Shinto among settlers, and it uses the five-pointed star, a symbol of the Hokkaido Development Commission, as its shrine crest. Beyond the torii, a short approach path leads up stairs to the shrine hall on the second floor, where the office on the right issues goshuin, either written on the spot or prepared in advance. There is no parking lot.
