Sapporo City Observatory

Sapporo City Observatory sits in Nakajima Park in Sapporo and was a filming location for the Netflix drama First Love Hatsukoi. During the day it observes sunspots and solar flares, and at night it uses telescopes to view Saturn and the stars of the season while staff explain what is being seen. Staff turn the telescope themselves to show the objects and use translation devices to give explanations. When it is cloudy or the weather is overcast, telescope observation is difficult.
