minapa

Minapa is an exhibition and rest space introducing Ainu culture and crafts, located between the north and south ticket gates of Sapporo Station on the Sapporo subway Namboku Line. It displays wooden carvings and crafts, an animation with Ainu-language narration and Japanese subtitles, and a hand-operated projection mapping. The space opened on March 21, 2019, and has benches and seating for people passing through the corridor. The number of exhibits is small.
