Kego Shrine sits in the Tenjin downtown area of Fukuoka, next to Tenjinminami Station and Kego Park. It began around 200 CE as a place to enshrine Kego Daijin and was moved to its current site in 1608 during the construction of Fukuoka Castle. In the morning, locals come to pray, and omikuji and a foot bath area are available. The grounds are small and take about five minutes to walk through.
