Den Shiomi-Yagura Turret

Fukuoka Castle Ruins Observation Deck is a sightseeing spot at the Fukuoka Castle site, reached on foot from Ohorikoen Station. Carp, turtles, and birds live in the water around the castle ruins, and a bridge crossing lets visitors take in cherry blossoms along with the scenery. At sunset the view is good, and the route continues into a slow loop around Ohori Park. The remaining castle ruins are locked with a padlock and cannot be entered, so the area shown in photographs is all there is.
