Hae-an Makguksu

Haian Makguksu is an old house restaurant in an alley in Chuncheon that serves makguksu and yukgaejang kalguksu. The makguksu is seasoned with doenjang instead of gochujang, and diners eat half of it as is, then pour in broth to finish it as mul makguksu. It opens at 11 a.m. and seating is at low tables, with maesaengi kalguksu, deulkkae kalguksu, and tteok mandu guk also available to order. Makguksu cannot be ordered as a single serving.
