The Theater of Dionysus is an ancient performance venue on the south side of the Acropolis in Athens. It was built around the 6th century BC, and the works of Sophocles, Euripides, and Aeschylus were first performed there. It appears early on after entering the Acropolis, and interior access is currently restricted while restoration work is underway. Only part of the seating and stage remain, so expecting the theater's full appearance will be disappointing.
