Kyobashi is a large transfer station near Osaka Castle and Osaka Business Park, with shopping centres, shopping streets and restaurants. The JR Osaka Loop Line, Tozai Line, Keihan Main Line and Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line pass through, and izakaya and standing bars line the streets around the station. It opened in 1895 and the Keihan railway arrived in 1910, and the station building has many coin lockers that take large luggage. Because so many passengers use it, going from the north exit to the Gakken Toshi Line and Tozai Line platforms means walking the full length of the Loop Line platform.
