Sanuki Udon Byakuan

Byaku-an is in the northern part of Osaka and serves Sanuki-style udon, thick and chewy. The menu includes fried toppings such as chikutama ten bukkake and geso ten bukkake, and the noodles and broth can be ordered warm or cold. You buy a meal ticket from a vending machine, sit down, and the udon comes out right away; only cash is accepted. A line forms before opening and stays long through the meal.
