Tamsui Old Street

Danshui Laojie is a shopping street that runs along the waterfront from the Danshui MRT station, with local restaurants, small goods shops, and souvenir stores. You can buy snacks such as fried squid and large castella, along with traditional Taiwanese snacks, to eat while walking. Walking along the waterfront path toward Hongmao Cheng lets you see old buildings, the coast, and the Danshui sunset together. On weekend afternoons the street is crowded and hectic.
