Hwangso Gojip Main Branch

Hwangso Gojip Main Branch is a charcoal grill restaurant in Yongin that serves whole galmaegisal as its main cut, along with samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork collar, and makchang (beef abomasum). The whole galmaegisal comes out thick and chewy, grilled until crisp with garlic. A self-service bar holds side dishes and ssam vegetables, and instructions for grilling galmaegisal are posted around the store. The space is cramped and dark, and it gets loud enough to make conversation difficult when it fills up.
