Yangpun Jip Heukdwaeji Kimchi Jjigae

Yangpunjip Heukdwaeji Kimchi Jjigae is a restaurant in the basement food court of the Manhattan Building in Yeouido, Seoul, and serves a large pot of kimchi stew made with black pork and ham. The stew has a strong broth with plenty of black pork and kimchi, and in the evening the restaurant also serves Jeju black pork belly with soju. At lunch there can be a wait, so arriving early helps, and rice and side dishes are self-serve for refills. Noodles for the stew must be ordered separately, and the broth is on the salty side.
