Iwata

Iwata is a restaurant serving Japanese ramen, located on the basement first floor dining area of Manhattan Building (formerly Yeouido Department Store), a five-minute walk from Yeouido Station Exit 5. The shoyu ramen comes with a rich broth seasoned with soy sauce over chicken stock, thin noodles with a slight bite, and chashu, menma, a soft-boiled egg, and nori as standard. At lunch it serves ramen, and in the evening it sells snacks with highballs and draft beer, and since lunch reservations are not accepted, a wait forms but clears quickly. The bar seats in front of the noodle-pulling station are a hot spot even in winter.
