Tongnamujip

Tongnamujip is an old eel restaurant in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo, Busan, serving grilled sea eel and eel soup. The grilled eel is coated in a gochujang-based sauce and eaten wrapped in lettuce and perilla leaves. The eel soup has a broth made from ground eel with pieces of eel in it, and saury is served alongside. The grilling is done indoors, so the smell tends to cling to your clothes.
