Hajodae is on the coast of Yangyang. Next to Hajodae Beach are an observation deck and a pavilion, with oddly shaped rocks and the pine tree that appeared in the national anthem film. There is a parking lot, a short walking path leading toward the lighthouse, and a restroom nearby. Some areas cannot be entered because they are military zones.
