The plaza sits at the entrance of Nambu Market, in front of Jeonju Hanok Village. Events are held here, and on weekend nights the Nambu Market night market fills the area. A Statue of Peace stands holding a bouquet of flowers, with Gyeonggijeon and Jeondong Cathedral nearby. On weekend nights the Nambu Market side is crowded.
