Maikohan Arashiyama is a small restaurant a short walk from Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama, where bite-sized fried items are served facing the river. A meal consists of sixteen bite-sized pieces, eight set items plus eight chosen items, with dobimmushi broth and rice, finished with fried chazuke. The restaurant runs by reservation only, and the broth and rice can be refilled. It sits off the main Arashiyama street with a road in front of the shop, so the view from the window is not the river alone.
