Inoue is an izakaya directly in front of JR Arashiyama Station in Kyoto, serving obanzai and drinks. Customers pick from octopus, squid, bamboo shoots, braised pork ribs, and fried items set out on the counter, and can also order clam soup and grilled rice balls. Reservations are made by phone in Japan, and ordering is done by looking at a chalkboard or the food in bowls rather than a menu, with only Japanese menus available. The portions are large enough that two people have trouble finishing them.
