Bettei Torijaya is an old Japanese restaurant near Kagurazaka Station serving thick-noodle udonsuki and oyakodon. Its signature oyakodon comes with soft egg, a soy-based sauce, and shredded nori, while the udonsuki's clear broth is refilled continuously. It opens at 11:30 a.m. and uses low tables and chairs in tatami rooms, with a line forming even at 1:30 p.m. during Golden Week. The udonsuki noodles are very thick, like sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), so the texture divides people.
