Shinwol is a Japanese kaiseki restaurant in Taipei's Xinyi District, about a five-minute walk from Taipei 101 Station. It serves no fixed menu, bringing out courses in sequence: an assorted hoe of seasonal ingredients, sweet shrimp and sea urchin, lobster dishes, and a seafood rice bowl. A single meal includes more than ten dishes, the chef changes the lineup often, and staff explain each dish one by one while replacing warm towels throughout the meal. The restaurant has operated for over twenty years in a quiet space with wood decor and a high ceiling.
