Hwapo Beach

Hwapohae Beach is a tidal flat beach in a small village across from Suncheon Bay and Waon Beach. It sits higher than Waon Beach, looking out over aquaculture ponds, fishing grounds, tidal flats, and the open sea, and is a place to watch the sunrise. On weekend mornings the sea and countryside are relatively quiet and calm. When the weather is overcast, the sunrise is hard to see.
