Sseon Hwareo

Sun Hwareo is a hoe (raw fish) restaurant in a residential area of Gyodong in Sokcho. It serves sekkosi of natural flatfish and filefish, mulhoe, and hoedeopbap, and the flatfish is sliced bone-in to dip in seasoned ssamjang. Some guests come here on a local resident's recommendation or to avoid tourist spots, and maeuntang (spicy fish stew) can be ordered as well. The mulhoe broth may disappoint those who prefer a strong flavor.
