Jangan Hoejip

Jangan Hoetjip is a hoe (raw fish) restaurant in the basement fish center of Sokcho Jungang Market. It serves live-fish hoe such as flounder, flatfish, and rockfish (ureok) along with maeuntang (spicy fish stew), and the maeuntang comes with potato, sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), and ramen noodles. There are tables and wide seating, but in the evening it is crowded enough that no seats are left. Side dishes are minimal, and prices are on the high side for the amount of hoe.
