Hwajinho Iseonjangne is a long-established neighborhood restaurant in Sokcho that serves cod soup, hoe with seasoning, hoe-guksu, and mulhoe. Its signature dish is flatfish caught the same day and fried until the bones are crisp enough to eat. Before opening, a waiting list is written down and registered in an app, and after opening, entries are taken at a machine in the store. Flatfish can sell out even early in the day.
