Choi Dae-seop Daebak Gimbap

Choidaeseop Daebak Gimbap is a gimbap shop behind the dakgangjeong alley across from Sokcho Jungang Market. It serves large gimbap filled tightly with two overlapping sheets of seaweed, including wasabi tuna gimbap and egg gimbap. The shop opens at 11 a.m., and the owner makes the gimbap alone; customers read the menu board and put money directly into a cash box. Because the gimbap is rolled slowly, waits of more than 30 minutes are common.
