Higashi-Shinjuku Station

Higashi-Shinjuku Station sits under the intersection of Meiji-dori and Shokuan-dori in 7-chome, Shinjuku, Tokyo. It is a subway station where the Fukutoshin Line and the Oedo Line meet. The station connects to the Korea Town and Kabukicho areas without passing through Shinjuku Station. The Fukutoshin Line platforms are on different floors depending on direction, and the platforms are deep underground, so reaching the surface takes time.
