Coffee L'ambre

Coffee L'ambre is an old basement kissaten in Shinjuku that serves coffee and soda drinks. The entrance has a smoking section, the area down the stairs is non-smoking, and there are sets that pair cake with a drink. It seats about 200 people and plays classical music, and while you can walk right in on weekdays, weekend waits can run 30 minutes to an hour. The coffee is disappointing.
